1. HONESTLY HEALTHY'S CARROT + HALLOUMI PATTIES
A yummy, healthy veggie barbecue option from the amazing homegrown Honestly Healthy!
2. A COUPLE COOKS' BAKED FETA WITH TOMATOES
Such a simple idea but this was the first time we've come across baked Feta. We think this would make the perfect dinner party starter or throw-together mid-week supper!
3. COOK REPUBLIC'S KALE DAAL FRY
As we've said before we love to keep things interesting by exploring a range of cuisines! Indian is one of our favourite cuisines, bursting with delicious flavours and spices, but your average creamy takeaway curry is laden with nasties. We spied this yummy sounding Daal recipe from Sneh Roy of Aussie food blog Cook Republic over at the Body Book site. Although we were initially skeptical, this site, the online community for Cameron Diaz's recent health book, is surprisingly good so go have a dig around!
4. SMITTEN KITCHEN'S PASTA + FRIED ZUCCHINI SALAD
The amazing Ottolenghi can do no wrong in our eyes so when we saw Smitten Kitchen's take on this delicious fresh pasta dish we knew we had to add it to our recipes to make list! To make it super clean we'd make a couple of little tweaks - try using extra virgin coconut oil and roasting the courgettes (you can always pre-roast a big batch at the weekend and keep in the fridge if you're short on time). We'd also swap in some gluten-free pasta for the traditional kind. If you're new to the world of gluten-free pastas, The Vedge has a great guide here.
5. SPORTELUXE'S BAKED BALSAMIC STRAWBERRIES WITH PINE NUTS + CASHEW CREAM
We all know it's obligatory to eat Strawberries and Cream while Wimbledon is in full swing so why not try this interesting twist on the traditional combo from one of our fave Aussie health sites, Sporteluxe. While it sounds weird, Strawberries and Balsamic are a match made in heaven and this dish is the perfect way to use up all those beautiful seasonal berries you bought but are on their way out!
