1. MY DARLING LEMON THYME’S HOMEMADE MILK KEFIR
If you're interested in the health world you'll have heard the term Kefir being banded around. Kefir is a fermented milk drink which tastes like a tangy yoghurt drink and is literally bursting with good probiotics for your tummy. Despite being made with cows milk (it can also be made with non-dairy milks or even water or coconut water), the fermentation process breaks down the majority of the lactose in the milk so it can be tolerated even by people with dairy issues. As with most health products, it's normally better for you and cheaper to make your own than buy them. This recipe from My Darling Lemon Thyme demystifies the fermentation process and provides an idiot-proof guide on how to make your own.
2. MY NEW ROOTS’ LIFE CHANGING CRACKERS
Anyone who hasn't tried My New Roots' Life Changing Loaf recipe must do so immediately! She's not kidding when she says life changing! Our only gripe with that recipe is that the bread is so dense it can be pretty filling, so we were overjoyed to see this sister recipe for life changing crackers. We'll definitely be whipping up a batch at the weekend!
3. NATURALLY ELLA’S CURRY ROAST VEGETABLE + AVOCADO NAANWICH
We've made no secret of the fact that we love, love, love Indian flavours and this naanwich recipe which we think would make the perfect tasty yet wholesome lunch option!
4. COOKIE + KATE’S STRAWBERRY + SPINACH SALAD WITH QUINOA + GOATS CHEESE
With our beautiful summer threatening to break any day now, seize the moment and squeeze in as many beautiful seasonal summer salads as you can! We loved the flavour combos in this gorgeous recipe from Cookie + Kate.
