If you have a well stocked pantry (see our list of essentials here) then all you need to do is top it up each week with lots of yummy fresh produce. Here at The Holist we like to try and buy organic wherever possible but we know this isn't always a realistic option and can be expensive. See our BUYING ORGANIC guide on which fruits and veggies you really should be trying to buy organic and which you can skip.

Again, the list below is pretty exhaustive and you don't need to be buying all of these goodies every week, just mix and match depending on your tastes, what's in season and how many mouths you have to feed!

A NOTE ON MEAT + FISH

We haven't included meat or fish below as we try to subscribe to a mostly plant-based diet. But if you do eat meat then try to buy organic, grass-fed, hormone and antibiotic free meat and wild fish wherever possible. If cost is a concern try to eat less, but better quality meat or talk to your butcher or fishmonger about cheaper cuts or alternatives.
